A few things worth knowing before you book anyone in Dubai. First, be wary of quotes given over the phone before a technician has actually seen the machine. Nobody can accurately price a pump or control board job blind, and the ones who try usually either underquote and add charges later or overquote to stay safe. Second, insist on genuine or OEM-equivalent parts. Grey-market pumps and heating elements are common in the UAE, they fail inside six months, and you end up paying for the same job twice. Third, ask about the warranty in writing. We provide a 90-day warranty on labour and up to a year on replacement parts, printed on the invoice before we leave.
What actually affects the final price. The main variables are the specific fault, the brand, and whether the part needs to be sourced. A drain filter clean on a Bosch or Siemens takes twenty minutes. A control board on a built-in Miele, on the other hand, sometimes has to be ordered from the distributor and can take two to three days to arrive. We tell you the honest timeline before we open the machine, not after we have left you without a working dishwasher for the weekend.
When repair is not worth it. A new mid-range dishwasher in Dubai costs AED 1,500 to AED 3,500. Our rule of thumb, the same one used by most reputable technicians, is this: if the repair quote comes to more than half the price of a replacement, and the appliance is already past eight years old, replacement is usually the smarter call. If the dishwasher is under six years old and the fault is a straightforward part swap, repair is almost always better — modern dishwashers are built to last 10 to 12 years with proper maintenance.
We will tell you honestly which side of that line your dishwasher sits on. We have turned down repair jobs before because we did not think it was fair to charge the customer, and that reputation is why people keep calling us back when they buy the replacement and want it installed properly.
